Shining Stars Adaptive PE

This 45-minute adult participation class is designed for children with physical and/or mental disabilities. Shining Stars enables development through movement education, encompassing both fine and gross motor skills, as well as basic gymnastics. Students can develop physically, socially, and emotionally through a non-competitive environment. Skills are taught in small increments, building one skill on another. Lesson plans are carefully modified to provide a safe and enjoyable experience. Activities include but are not limited to gymnastics, trampoline, fitness, core strength, and sports skills.

Shining Stars is an adult participation class designed for children with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. The program supports development through movement education, including fine and gross motor skills and basic gymnastics. After a warm-up, gymnasts rotate through stations around the gym, which change every two weeks.
Every child, regardless of gymnastics experience, can attend a class at Planet Gymnastics and thrive in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Please ensure all children are appropriately dressed for class. Baggy or inappropriate clothing presents a safety risk and may prevent participation. Children not dressed in accordance with dress code requirements will not be permitted to participate.
Approved Attire: Leotards or non-baggy t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, exercise pants, or leggings. Bare feet are required in the gym at all times.
Prohibited Attire: Socks (bare feet required), jeans, corduroys, overalls, or any clothing with buckles, belt loops, or zippers. Footed tights are not permitted.
Jewelry is not permitted with the exception of stud earrings. Long hair must be secured in a ponytail. Complimentary hair ties are available at the front office.
