Girls Developmental

Our Girls Developmental class is a 1.50-hour, invite-only class for girls motivated to learn and willing to work hard to progress in strength, flexibility, and gymnastics skills. Extra time is spent on strength conditioning, and skill progressions are accelerated due to the class dynamics. The longer class time allows students to work on drills and advance their skills. This class can be a stepping stone toward one of our team programs. Gymnasts need to be evaluated to be placed in a Developmental Class. The level depends on the skills that have been mastered.

Our competitive programs are offered by invitation only and cannot be booked online. For gymnasts looking to move to the Planet Gymnastics Team from another gym – New athletes will be evaluated throughout the season. Please email name, age and level to [email protected]

Our Girls Developmental classes are instructor-recommended for school-age girls who have successfully completed an evaluation and are ready for increased challenges. These classes focus on strength, flexibility, and gymnastics skills, with additional emphasis on strength conditioning and skill progressions.
Every child, regardless of gymnastics experience, can attend a class at Planet Gymnastics and thrive in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Classes are age-based. Children should be enrolled in the class that corresponds to their age.
Please ensure all children are appropriately dressed for class. Baggy or inappropriate clothing presents a safety risk and may prevent participation. Children not dressed in accordance with dress code requirements will not be permitted to participate.
Approved Attire: Leotards or non-baggy t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, exercise pants, or leggings. Bare feet are required in the gym at all times.
Prohibited Attire: Socks (bare feet required), jeans, corduroys, overalls, or any clothing with buckles, belt loops, or zippers. Footed tights are not permitted.
Jewelry is not permitted with the exception of stud earrings. Long hair must be secured in a ponytail. Complimentary hair ties are available at the front office.
Your child will be evaluated throughout their class. Once they have mastered certain skills, they will be eligible to move to the next level.
